Evoke Interiors designed the Caribou Coffee at The Avenues Mall as a bright, open, and welcoming café that blends local character with Caribou’s modern brand identity. The concept reinterprets the familiar Caribou experience through a lighter palette, open seating, and carefully integrated cultural references, creating a space that feels both contemporary and rooted in place.

The client’s brief focused on creating a bright, light-filled store with an open and accessible layout that encourages interaction and longer stays. Evoke Interiors responded with a design that prioritises openness, visibility, and ease of movement, supported by a layered lighting strategy that enhances the overall sense of warmth and clarity throughout the space.

To reflect the local context, subtle Arabic textures and patterns were incorporated into selected wall finishes, adding depth and cultural character without overwhelming the modern aesthetic. These elements are carefully balanced with Caribou’s signature design language, ensuring the space feels authentic, familiar, and contemporary.

At the heart of the shop, the iconic Caribou fireplace remains a key focal point, expressed in the brand’s signature blue tones to anchor the interior and reinforce brand recognition. A dedicated V60  bar was introduced to elevate the coffee experience, celebrating craftsmanship and offering customers a more engaging, barista-led interaction.

The result is a refined yet inviting coffee shop environment that successfully blends local influences with modern Caribou identity—designed to perform within a high-traffic mall setting while offering customers a comfortable and memorable place to enjoy their coffee.
