Custom CNC panels inspired by palm leaf patterns reference Saudi Arabia’s natural landscape, subtly weaving local identity into the design without overpowering Caribou’s modern aesthetic.

The design delivers a welcoming environment that balances familiarity and comfort—blending Caribou’s recognizable brand language with regional character and a softer, more inviting atmosphere suited to the Andalus Mall setting.

The client’s brief focused on creating a bright, light-filled store with an open and accessible layout that encourages interaction and longer stays. Evoke Interiors responded with a design that prioritises openness, visibility, and ease of movement, supported by a layered lighting strategy that enhances the overall sense of warmth and clarity throughout the space.

To reflect the local context, subtle Arabic textures and patterns were incorporated into selected wall finishes, adding depth and cultural character without overwhelming the modern aesthetic. These elements are carefully balanced with Caribou’s signature design language, ensuring the space feels authentic, familiar, and contemporary.

At the heart of the shop, the iconic Caribou fireplace remains a key focal point, expressed in the brand’s signature blue tones to anchor the interior and reinforce brand recognition. A dedicated V60  bar was introduced to elevate the coffee experience, celebrating craftsmanship and offering customers a more engaging, barista-led interaction.

The result is a refined yet inviting coffee shop environment that successfully blends local influences with modern Caribou identity—designed to perform within a high-traffic mall setting while offering customers a comfortable and memorable place to enjoy their coffee.

Evoke Interiors transformed this private villa in Hamad Town into a bright, modern country–style home that balances simplicity, warmth, and contemporary living. The renovation reimagines a 30+ year-old residence, opening up the interiors and introducing a lighter, more refined atmosphere throughout the home.

A key focus of the design was enhancing natural light and spatial flow by enlarging window openings, allowing daylight to shape the interior experience. The arrival sequence was completely reworked to create a modern entrance inspired by hotel lobby design, offering a welcoming first impression that feels both elegant and relaxed.

Given the age of the property, the renovation involved reworking spatial layouts, modernising finishes, and improving natural light penetration. Larger window openings were introduced to connect interior spaces more closely with the outdoors, enhancing openness and comfort.

Evoke Interiors introduced a design with a brighter atmosphere enhanced by layered greenery, natural textures, and clean architectural lines, creating a welcoming environment that feels current and relaxed. Spread across two levels, the space offers a variety of seating experiences, allowing guests to choose between energetic social zones and more comfortable, laid-back areas.

Extending beyond the interior, outdoor and veranda seating connect the restaurant directly to the rhythm of American Alley, reinforcing a strong indoor-outdoor relationship that reflects the lifestyle and movement of the surrounding district. The result is a revitalised Fuddruckers experience—one that feels modern, approachable, and aligned with the evolving expectations of today’s diners, while maintaining a clear connection to the brand’s identity.

The interior embraces darker tones layered with warm wood textures and controlled lighting to create an intimate, grounded environment. The Dark Roast theme informed material selection, finishes, and mood—resulting in a space that feels refined yet welcoming.

The space is thoughtfully planned to accommodate both social and professional use, featuring a dedicated meeting room alongside comfortable seating areas designed for everyday visits. This balance allows the coffee shop to function as a relaxed gathering spot as well as a setting for informal meetings and focused conversations.

Designed for longer stays, the space offers comfort, privacy, and acoustic balance without losing the familiar warmth of the Caribou Coffee identity. The result is a versatile café environment that supports meetings, individual work, and relaxed coffee moments within the Wadi Square community.

Caribou’s signature branding colours are layered with natural wood finishes, a lush green wall feature, and the iconic Caribou fireplace, reimagined in a modern black stone statement. The result is a contemporary yet cozy interior that remains true to the brand while giving guests a place to pause, recharge, and enjoy their coffee in comfort.

Sustainability played a key role in the design approach, with the incorporation of eco-conscious materials such as natural moss features and sand-textured wall finishes, aligned with Majid Al Futtaim’s green design requirements. These elements add both visual interest and environmental value while reinforcing a connection to nature.

A defining feature of the space is the integration of digital screens within the fireplace area, designed to evoke the feeling of overlooking an outdoor landscape through a window. Following a visit from the Caribou Coffee U.S. headquarters team and the then CEO, several of the design elements introduced in this project were recognized and later incorporated into the brand’s evolving global identity—positioning the City Centre Bahrain location as a progressive benchmark within the Caribou portfolio.

From the entrance, an Instagram-ready feature wall sets the tone, drawing guests into a space defined by Caribou’s signature colours, natural wood finishes, soft lighting, and integrated greenery. Thoughtful zoning and cozy seating arrangements encourage guests to settle in, whether for a quick coffee or a longer stay. An outdoor seating area further extends the experience, offering a relaxed setting that complements the interior and reinforces a calm, approachable atmosphere within one of Juffair’s most active neighbourhoods.

The design is defined by a harmonious palette of soft neutrals, deep navy blues, warm wood tones, and subtle metallic accents, resulting in a space that feels timeless yet current. Layered lighting and carefully curated finishes elevate the majlis, ensuring it delivers a strong first impression while supporting comfort and extended use.

Statement chandeliers anchor the space, complemented by table lamps and concealed lighting to provide layered illumination. The result is a warm, evenly lit majlis that transitions seamlessly from daytime gatherings to evening receptions.

Spatial Arrangement

Seating is arranged to encourage conversation while maintaining clear circulation and visual symmetry. Custom joinery units and integrated shelving provide both function and architectural interest, reinforcing the majlis’ VVIP character.

The completed VVIP Majlis in Jasrah is a refined, elegant space that blends tradition with modern design sensibilities—offering comfort, prestige, and timeless appeal through thoughtful material selection and spatial planning.
